Lake Lonely
HD installation, 15 minutes (clip)
one channel, colour, stereo. 2019
Lake Lonely is a choreographed filmic portrait of a parachute I made with the template of a military parachute from WWII made in China. Lake Lonely takes the viewer into the protagonist’s journey of being alone through an endless efforts of riding a bicycle attached with a parachute from day to night. As the woman journey deeper, the light is getting darker and she is exhausted and pulled into these familiar universal landscapes that hard to identify where the location is, conducting her journey in search of Lake Lonely in silence. Is it falling or flying?
